The art of pastel belongs to the so-called dry techniques, since no solvent is used, and is applied directly onto the working surface. As a support we generally use good quality paper of good weight and slight roughness, although the technique is versatile enough for you to use on other surfaces.
This technique is convenient, fast, and generally allowing corrections very easily.
