Acrylic colors are very opaque, fast drying, and get smoother, brighter and more luminous surfaces, than oil colors. They are worked with water or mixed with an acrylic gel. It is a characteristic technique of contemporary art, especially since 1960.
“Impasto” are more resistance than those made with oil, which sometimes tend to crack.
It can be worked “alla prima”, applying colors directly on the working surface, or by means of glazes, which are transparent layers that are superimposed.
Our idea is to convert technical skills in creative expression.
We adapt ourselves to your previous knowledge, if any, and if you are a beginner, we start from scratch.
